Worship is at the heart of all we do at First Presbyterian. And while we are pretty spontaneous in our worship (and never quite sure what might happen from one Sunday to the next), there is actually a great deal of thought, prayer and planning that goes in to each service.
Whether you are a big picture person who likes to develop themes and programs for seasons of the church year, a visual person who can help find ways to incorporate art and images into our worship, a music person who loves discovering and sharing new (and old) songs, or a detail person who can make sure we always have candles and that we know where the offering plates are, we can use your talents in helping make sure that worship is meaningful for all who gather–including God. Because the heart of worship is not about us at all, but about the One we have gathered to worship.
We are beginning to work on plans for Lent and Holy Week, so please let Anne (revruss@gmail.com)know if you are interested in being a part of it all.
If you would like to help in leading worship, Bob Spencer (rspen22@yahoo.com) is our liturgy scheduling guru.
